03/16/2017 ROBERT SHERRY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. If the carbon dioxide storage consists of more than two 50-pound cylinders, provide a mechanical exhaust system activated by an asphyxiant gas detection system. Reference: Tucson Fire Department Standard Operating Guideline for Compressed Gases dated 04/28/2015.
2. Revise the exhaust duct fire wrap detail to indicate that the field-applied grease duct enclosure must continuously enclose all sides of the grease duct from the duct origin to the duct termination. Reference: Section 506.3.11.2, IMC 2012.
3. Verify that the distance between EF-1 and the parapet wall is at least 2-feet from the parapet wall and the discharge shall be at least as high as the parapet but not less than 40" above the roof surface. Reference: sections 506.3.3.13 and 506.5.5, IMC 2012.
4. Provide 18" of clearance from the Type 1 grease hood to combustibles (e.g. the wall of the walk-in cooler). Reference: Section 507.9, IMC 2012.
5. Provide a Type II hood over the gas-fired steam table. Reference: Section 507.2.2, IMC 2012.
