| 02/02/2017 | PIMA COUNTY | BUILDING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | T17CM00738 - PLAN REVIEW COMMENTS Reviewer: Chris Anderson, February 1, 2017 BUILDING – COMMERCIAL On sheet CV, add a visible deferred submittals list, including 1) Trellises, including structural calculations sealed by an Arizona registrant for construction and attachment to existing structure, 2) Canopies/sunscreens, including structural calculations sealed by an Arizona registrant for construction and attachment to existing structure. On sheet CV, Building Data, delete “/B2”. The IBC does not recognize occupancy group “B2.” On sheet G0.1, text has been cut off all along the left border of the sheet. Demolition General Note F on sheet D1.0 instructs contractor bid roof repair; however the Roof Plan and notes on sheet A1.2 indicates that this building will be re-roofed with TPO over new rigid insulation. Note on detail 3/A1.2 refers reader to sheet A1.3 for roof assembly specification. On sheet A3.0, New Exterior Storefront Assembly note indicates a required U-factor of 0.57 and SHGC of 0.39. However, 2012 IECC Table C402.3 requires a maximum U-0.50 for fixed fenestration and maximum U-0.83 for entrance doors. The maximum SHGC allowed is 0.25. Revise. On sheet A3.0, note 6 for both the New Trellis System and New Canopy/Sunscreen System shall indicate that the structural calculations must be sealed by an Arizona registrant. On sheet S1.0, Structural General Note 7 requires special inspection for wood per IBC 1705.5. 1705.5 requires site built high-load diaphragms and metal-plate-connected wood trusses spanning 60 feet or greater to be special inspected, but there appear to be none on this project. Please clarify in this note what wood assemblies are to be special inspected. Regarding sheets K-1D and K-3D, the City of Tucson requires that all lettering (upper and lower case) to be a minimum of 3/32” in height. Revise elevations to comply. Regarding sheets K-1D and K-3D, there are boxed notes from the kitchen equipment designer to the architect that may or may not have been addressed by the Architect. Please verify that they have been satisfied and remove these comments from these sheets. |
