This parcel is greater than 500 feet from the closed Nearmont landfill site. I checked the methane readings at the Nearmont landfill dating back to January of 2010. There have been no detects for methane in any of the methane gas probes around the Nearmont landfill from January of 2010 to the present time. Based on this review, the City of Tucson - Environmental and General Services Department approves these residential plans from a solid waste standpoint.
