The use a portion of the FEMA Special Flood Hazard Area Zone AE per the Flood Insurance Rate Maps 04019C2270L, specifically described as:

A Portion of Parcel 119-41-038B; Probasco Lots 37, 38, 39 & 40 BLK 1

For the purpose of constructing 20' x 20' structure that is either vented or fully open on all sides.

The applicant agrees to comply with City of Tucson Floodplain and Erosion Hazard, and Watercourse Amenities, Safety and Habitat regulations, and is particularly bound by the conditions stated below. Violation of any of the conditions stated or referred to below, as determined by the City Engineer, shall be grounds for revocation of this permit. Responsibility for renewal of this permit, if necessary, is with the applicant. Issuance of this permit does not constitute a waiver of other requirements contained in the Tucson City Code, Unified Development Code, or any other Federal, State, County, or local regulation. No use other than as permitted herein is allowed. Additional uses allowed under City of Tucson Floodplain and Erosion Hazard Regulations and Watercourse Amenities, Safety, and Habitat regulations require the issuance of an additional Floodplain Use Permit.

The following 9 conditions apply to this permit:

1) This permit becomes invalid and is subject to additional floodplain review, if any required development changes the construction of the 20' x 20' fully open or vented structure, or, if there is any further disturbance within the floodplain and W.A.S.H. overlay other than that outlined in this application. This floodplain use permit may be subject to conditions or restrictions designed to reduce or mitigate the potential damage or hazard to life or property resulting from the construction of a 20' x 20' fully open or vented structure within the regulatory floodplain, floodway or erosion hazard areas as determined by the project engineer and accepted by the City of Tucson.
2) Except as approved by the City Engineer prior to the start of construction, development under this permit shall not obstruct, retard or divert the existing flow of floodwaters from or to adjacent properties.
3) All work shall conform to the approved Details and General site plan sheets for the construction of the 20' x 20' fully open or vented structure, which are made part of this permit. The 20' x 20' structure will be either vented (at least 1 SQIN of vent for every 1 SQFT of enclosed space, minimum 2 vents) per the detail to allow water to flow through or fully open on all sides, it will also be anchored per the detail.
4) If the structure is not fully open floodplain approval of an elevation certificate, prepared by an Arizona State Registered Land Surveyor, is required prior to the finished construction or Final Inspection (P2F). The Elevation Certificate must Identify the number of permanent openings in the enclosure that are no higher than 1-foot above the higher of the exterior or interior grade or floor immediately below the opening (Section A8 on the Elevation Certificate). For every square foot of enclosed space a minimum 2 vents totaling the net square footage in inches is required. A permanent flood opening is a flood vent or other opening that allows the free passage of water automatically in both directions without human intervention.

5) Within 5 (five) days of issuance of this permit, and through completion of the project, notification must be posted and maintained in a conspicuous place on the job site stating "CONSTRUCTION PROCEEDING UNDER REQUIREMENTS OF CITY OF TUCSON FLOODPLAIN USE PERMIT # T16OT01208 FOR INFORMATION PLEASE CALL 791-5550."
6) This Floodplain Use Permit and plans shall be kept in a readily accessible location on site at all times.
7) Any additional future disturbance of the floodplain shall have separate floodplain use permit applications submitted to this office for review and approval.

9) This permit is specific to the improvements for 1860 W Probasco Drive as indicated on the approved plans. It shall not apply to any other structure or property, whether attached or unattached, not specified under this permit.

This Floodplain Use Permit will be automatically revoked and becomes invalid if conditions are not complied with, as set forth in this permit.
