1. Applicability
The following project types are reviewed for compliance with the applicable standards in accordance with the Full HPZ Review Procedure:

Permit for any alteration involving the modification, addition, or moving of any part of an existing structure, including signs, that would affect the exterior appearance, except as provided in Section 5.8.8.C, Minor HPZ Review.

Initial Residential Structural review has indicated an exterior fire wall must be installed HPZ review would be required.

PLAN REVIEW COMMENTS

Plan review for the above referenced structure has been completed. This letter reflects comments to be addressed. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, please provide two sets of updated plans and calculations with a written response to each of the notated items indicating action taken. Do not cloud the changes made for comment revisions.

SCOPE OF REVIEW:

The scope of this plan review covers architectural, plumbing, mechanical, energy conservation and electrical. All code references are to the 2012 International Residential Code and 2012 International Energy Conservation Code. All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided. All portions of this project are assumed to meet or will meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval.

FLOOR PLANS:

1. Show one-hour fire-resistive construction separating the units in compliance with IBC Table 721.1(2). Show the one-hour separation throughout the building including any crawl space and attic space.
2. Show porch roof structures with one-hour fire-resistive construction separating the units in compliance with IBC Table 721.1(2), or show a clear 3' fire separation distance determined from a line parallel with the building separation line (imaginary property line). This separation is required from ground to roof and from end to end.

PLUMBING PLANS:

1. Show an individual accessible water supply shut off for each dwelling unit, P2903.9.1. This unit valve may not prevent flow to other units.
