1. In response to previous building comments 1 and 6, this project cannot be approved before approval of the development plan and your Petition of Appeal to the Building Official regarding common restroom facilities and remotely located service sink.
2. Regarding previous building comment 3, your response indicates that you intend to fill in the existing 6'-0" wide opening in the demising wall "as necessary per future tenant improvements when circumstances require it." Fire rated protection shall not be deferred to a future permit. This opening must be fire-protected per previous comment 3 as part of this permit.
3. Regarding previous building comment 8, the new RTU will weigh 675 pounds according to the revised heat pump schedule. Proof by structural calculations must be submitted showing that the existing roof structure will support this unit in the shown location and orientation without modification.
11/30/2016 PIMA COUNTY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change MECHANICAL - COMMERCIAL
1. In response to previous mechanical comments 1 and 2, the mechanical heating and cooling calculations added to sheet m2.0 show the design OA temperature as 100.5 degrees F. This is not the Tucson summer design temperature which is 104 degrees F.
2. Also in response to previous mechanical comments 1 and 2, the combined sensible loads for the selected and existing equipment (85,200 btuh/65,500 btuh) exceeds the calculated sensible loads for both cooling and heating for this space (77,263 btuh/50,116 btuh). Per 2012 IECC C403.2.1 "the output capacity shall not exceed the loads calculated in accordance with C403.2.1. A single piece of equipment providing both heating and cooling shall satisfy the provision for one function with the capacity for the other function as small as possible, within available equipment options."
