Structural framing, foundations and sheathing must match information on new structural sheets. Per previous comment 2 for sheet G1R Code Review, “the first entry indicates 1323 SF, then the occupant load is calculated using 1343 SF. Please coordinate.” Per previous comment 4 for sheet A2R, if shear wall SW1 is not to be called out on plan, add to keynote 5 “solid block all panel edges.” Per previous comment 6 for sheet A2R, keynote 3 specifies 3/8” OSB sheathing for exterior walls; however the general structural notes on new sheet S1.0R require ½” sheathing. In reference to previous comment 7 for sheet A2R, revise structural calculations and structural plan, if necessary, so that rafter sizes correspond. Structural calculations show both 2x6 and 2x8 for rafter type DJ2. Per previous comment 9 for sheet A2R, “building section 6: please cut this section on the new floor plan.” If this section is taken thru the new addition looking east, there are walls missing on the floor plan either side of the north archway. On sheet A2R, the new water heater enclosure must be constructed with continuous foundation located minimum 12” below surface of undisturbed soil width minimum width of 12”. Ref. IBC 1809.4. Indicate on structural foundation plan. On sheet G1R, the revised Index of Drawings does not match titles and sheet numbers in drawing set. On sheet A4R, show louvered door for new water heater enclosure on New South Elevation 3. On sheet S2.0R, the rooftop mechanical unit is shown in a different location than the mechanical plan on sheet M1R. On new sheet S3.0R, the post base shown on detail 108 must be either Simpson AB (or other base with 1” offset), or the post must be pressure preservative treated. Ref. IBC 2304.11.2.7. |
