06/08/2016 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | 1. The branch of the gas pipe that appears to be intended to serve the future gas load of 144 CFH is too small. Based on Table 402.4(2), 2012 IFGC, a 1" pipe with a developed length of 200 feet can only accommodate 134 CFH. [Initial comment: Clarify the future load for the gas piping. The note at the meter locations calls out 288 CFH for the new gas load with only 144 CFH identified on the plumbing plans. Provide the load and developed pipe length that was used to determine the pipe size for the future load.] 2. Current work is required to comply with the currently-adopted codes. See Sections 1101.7, 1106, and 1108, IPC 2012 for roof drainage requirements. Note that scupper sizes cannot be determined using Tables 1106.2 or 1106.3, IPC 2012: scuppers are weirs and capacity calculations are required, especially for round scuppers. [Initial comment: Show how overflow rain drainage is being provided for the revised roof..] |
