06/16/2016 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Section R4-30-304 of the Rules of the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration, states that the outer circle of the registrant's seal shall be 1-1/2" in diameter, +/- 1/16". See Appendix A of the Rules of the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration for further information regarding seals.
2. Direct reuse of reclaimed water (i.e. grey water) from a non-residential source requires a permit from the State of Arizona Department of Environmental Quality.
3. Provide the minimum plumbing facilities required by Table 2902.1, IBC 2012, for storage occupancy (e.g. service sink and two drinking fountains).
4. Provide an automatic faucet for the lavatory, dispensing a maximum of 0.25 gallons per metering cycle. Verify that the automatic faucet will operate for a minimum time of 10-seconds. Reference: Section 416.6, IPC 2012, as amended by the City of Tucson and Section 606.4, ICC/ANSI A117.1-03.
5. The specified temperature mixing valve is listed as conforming to ASSE 1070 as well as ASSE 1016. Revise the specifications to note the correct standard, ASSE 1070, so that an incorrect mixing valve is not substituted. Reference: Sections 416.5 and 607.1.2, IPC 2012.
6. Revise the water demand estimate by including the continuous demand from the evaporative coolers. Reference: Section A 2.2, UPC 2012.
7. The proposed instantaneous water heater has a minimum activation rate of 0.5 GPM but the total flow rate (cold water plus hot water) for the lavatory faucet is also 0.5 GPM. Verify that the proposed water heaters will be able to provide tepid water for the lavatories. Reference: Section 607.1, IPC 2012.
8. Provide roof drainage and hydraulic scupper size calculations based on the 100-year hourly rainfall rate for Tucson, 3" per hour. Reference: Sections 1106.1, 1106.4, and 1108.3, IPC 2012.
