05/09/2016 | KEN BROUILLETTE | FIRE | REVIEW | Reqs Change | 1. Dead ends for corridors cannot exceed 50 feet in fire sprinklered buildings per 1018.4. 2. On sheet E-1.1 one of the sliding doors is indicated as an exit door. Per Section 1008.1.4.3 this type of horizontal door is not approved for egress. 3. The un-occupied space needs to be classified to determine an occupant load for the entire space. I am unclear why the cover sheet states that an occupant load sign of 49 maximum will be posted. 4. Is it the intent of the owner to have any type of viewings or events at this facility? |
05/19/2016 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | 1. The International Plumbing Code, 2012, is the controlling code for this structure, not the International Residential Code. Provide the specifications and listing information for the proposed water heater. Reference: Sections 303.2 and 501.5, IPC 2012 and Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012. 6. Provide a detail of the water heater installation, including the excess pressure relief, expansion tank, vacuum relief or other anti-siphon device, safety pan, and valves. Reference: Sections 503, 504, 606.1, 607.2, and 607.3, IPC 2012. 7. Provide hot water to the new wash sinks (P-3). Reference: Section 607.1, IPC 2012. 8. The developed length of the supply piping to the wash sinks appears to be greater than fifty feet; provide a method for maintaining the temperature of the hot water supply system. Reference: Section 607.2, IPC 2012. 9. If the specified water heater is not supplied with integral heat traps, provide heat traps on the supply and discharge piping. Reference: Section C404.4, IECC 2012. 10. Revise the water demand calculation using the fixture unit values for public fixtures, not private fixtures. Evaporative coolers have a continuous demand and are to be assigned a GPM demand and added to the demand determined for the plumbing fixtures. Include the existing fixtures in the building when determining the total demand served by the water meter. Reference: Sections E102.1 and E103.3 (2.1), IPC 2012. 11. Provide calculations showing how the water supply piping has been sized. If PEX is to be used, supply a sizing matrix for use with PEX.
