07/08/2016 ROBERT SHERRY WATER REVIEW Reqs Change Provide the total demand that the water meter will serve. [Initial comment: Provide the size of the water meter serving this building and the total demand that the meter will serve. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012.]
07/11/2016 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Third-party listing and material standards for the concrete lavatories have not been provided by the architect. [Initial comment: Provide third-party listing and material standards for all custom plumbing fixtures (e.g. LV-1). Reference: Sections 303.4, 402, and 416.1, IPC 2012.]
2. The fixture call-outs on sheets P1.1 and P2.1 still show the installation of LV-1 in the family restroom. [Initial comment: Coordinate the specified lavatory for the family restroom with the architect; the schedule on sheet A8.1 appears to call for a LV-2, not a LV-1. Provide tempered water for the lavatory in the family restroom using an approved device conforming to ASSE 1070. Reference: Sections 416.5 and 607.1.2, IPC 2012 and Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012.]
3. Show the required settings for the automatic faucets on the drawings so that the contractor will know how they are to be programmed. [Initial comment: Verify that the automatic faucets for the restroom lavatories will dispense a maximum of 0.25 gallons per metering cycle and that the automatic faucet will operate for a minimum time of 10-seconds. Reference: Section 416.6, IPC 2012, as amended by the City of Tucson and Section 606.4, ICC/ANSI A117.1-03.]
4. Each individual appliance shall be provided with a backflow preventer. Note that the kitchen schedule shows a water connection to the grease recovery system; verify. [Initial comment: Individual appliances (e.g. blenders, ice makers, etc.) to be directly connected to the water supply system that do not have listed, integral backflow preventers or integral air gaps conforming to Section 608.13.1, IPC 2012 require backflow prevention. Specify the type of backflow prevention device required for each water connection. Reference: Sections 608.1 and 608.3, IPC 2012.]
5. Tea makers and coffee makers require the installation of a backflow prevention device that is listed to ASSE 1022. [Initial comment: Water supply connections to beverage dispensers shall, at a minimum, be protected with backflow preventers conforming to ASSE 1022. Reference: Section 608.16.1, IPC 2012.]
07/13/2016 ROBERT SHERRY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. The City of Tucson has not adopted ASHRAE 62.1; ventilation calculations for multiple-zone HVAC units shall be per Section 403.3.2.3, IMC 2012. For all areas, the occupant loads shall be per Section 403.3, IMC 2012 unless approved statistical data is provided to document an alternate occupancy. [Initial comment: Provide calculations demonstrating adequate ventilation for the building. Reference: Section 403.2, IMC 2012.]
2. The requested structural calculations and details were not found in this submittal. [Initial comment: Provide structural calculations and details to show that the Type I hood is supported from the building structure in accordance with Section 507.6, IMC 2012 (the hood hanging weight plus the weight of personnel working in or on the hood). Reference: Section 302.1, IMC 2012.]
3. The COMcheck Mechanical Compliance Certificate indicates that all of the roof top units are equipped with air economizers but this is not shown on the roof top unit schedule. Which is correct? Reference: Section C403.3.1, IECC 2012.
4. A revised submittal for three 4-ton split-system heat pump units was included with this submittal - wrong project?
