Add 12" deep footings at ends of low, louvered shutter panel walls for support posts per detail 1-/A-216. Sheets A-201 and A-202 1. Submit exterior signage for separate permit. Plumbing Comments: 1. Provide the size of the water meter serving this suite, the size of the backflow preventer associated with the water meter, and the total water demand served by the water meter. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012. 2. Provide waste and vent isometrics. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012. 3. Verify that the specified automatic faucets for the lavatories will dispense a maximum of 0.25 gallons per metering cycle and that faucets will operate for a minimum time of 10-seconds. Reference: Section 416.6, IPC 2012, as amended by the City of Tucson and Section 606.4, ICC/ANSI A117.1-03. 4. Provide calculations showing how the water supply piping has been sized. Reference: Sections 604.1 and 604.3, IPC 2012. 5. Appliances (e.g. tea brewers, coffee makers, etc.) to be directly connected to the water supply system that do not have listed, integral backflow preventers or integral air gaps conforming to Section 608.13.1, IPC 2012 require backflow prevention. Specify the type of backflow prevention device required for each water connection. Reference: Sections 608.1, 608.3, and 608.16.10, IPC 2012. 6. Provide separate indirect waste pipes for each compartment of the 3-compartment sink to protect against cross-contamination or fouling. Reference: Sections 801.2 and 802.1.8, IPC 2012. 7. Verify that all of the vents (except for vents serving interceptors located outdoors) rise vertically to at least 6" above the flood rims of the fixtures they protect prior to running horizontally. Reference: Section 905.4, IPC 2012. Mechanical Comments: 1. Revise the energy code analysis for the building envelope, coordinating the building components used in the analysis with those shown on the drawing (i.e. unless the roof construction has been modified as part of this activity, there is no continuous insulation on the roof). Reference: Section C303.1, IECC 2012, as amended by the City of Tucson. 2. Provide NFRC - certified documentation for the fenestration components (for the U-factor and the SHGC values) or use the appropriate default U-factor and SHGC values from Tables C303.1.3 (1), C303.1.3 (2) and C303.1.3.(3), IECC 2012. Reference: Section C303.1.3, IECC 2012 (see also footnote c on the envelope compliance certificate). 3. Full compliance with the 2012 IECC requires that an "additional efficiency package option" be selected per Section C406. The envelope compliance certificate indicates that high efficiency HVAC has been selected but the mechanical compliance certificate states that reduced interior lighting power is to be used. Coordinate the energy calculations. 4. Provide heating and cooling load calculations that justify the capacities of the heating and cooling equipment specified for the project. Reference: Sections C403.2.1 and C403.2.2, IECC 2012, and Section 312.1, IMC 2012. 5. Provide structural calculations and details to demonstrate that the installation of the rooftop units will not adversely affect the structural integrity of the roof. Reference: Section 302.1, IMC 2012. 6. Provide structural calculations and details to show that the kitchen hoods are supported from the building structure in accordance with Section 507.6, IMC 2012 (the hood hanging weight plus the weight of personnel working in or on the hood). Reference: Section 302.1, IMC 2012. 7. Provide calculations demonstrating adequate ventilation. Reference: Section 403.2, IMC 2012. 8. The four rapid cook ovens (K10) are not listed under UL 710B; provide a justification for not installing these appliances under Type I hoods. Reference: Sections 507.1 and 507.2.1, IMC 2012. 9. The coordinate the sequence of operation with the air balance schedule, specifically with regard to MAU-1 and the hood that it is to serve. Reference: Section 508.1, IMC 2012. Electrical SHEET E-202 1. Will power be required for sprinkler riser tamper and flow switches? 2. Provide outdoor lighting calculations in accordance with the 2012 Pima County/City of Tucson Outdoor Lighting Code. |
