4. Provide pressure-absorbing devices for the water connections to appliances equipped with quick-acting or solenoid valves (see "General Notes (Water)" which specifies a dual check backflow preventer for this application). The pressure-absorbing devices shall conform to ASSE 1010. Reference: Section 604.9, IPC 2012.
5. Verify that a low-pressure cutoff for the booster pump is provided per Section 606.5.5, IPC 2012.
6. At a minimum, beverage dispensers (e.g. coffee makers) require the use of a backflow preventer that is listed to ASSE 1022. Reference: Section 608.16.10, IPC 2012.

11. Provide the roof drain calculations (i.e. show the total area drained by each roof drain). Include the effect of any vertical walls that can divert rainfall onto the roof and show the area of the balconies or decks that are combined with the roof drainage piping. Reference: Section 1106, IPC 2012.
03/03/2016 ROBERT SHERRY WATER REVIEW Reqs Change Water meters and reduced pressure zone backflow prevention assemblies are required to be installed in locations accessible to Tucson Water. Contact Richard Sarti, New developments Manager, (520) 837-2215, to coordinate access with Tucson Water. Reference: Chapter XXVII, Article V, Section 27-72, the Tucson Code, http://www.tucsonaz.gov/files/water/docs/backflow-ordinance.pdf
03/07/2016 ROBERT SHERRY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Revise the font size used on the drawings to a minimum height of 3/32-inch. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012.

3. Clarify the routing of the exhaust duct running from the grease interceptor room to exhaust fan EF-8. The duct does not appear on the third floor plan and on the second floor plan it is called out as connecting to EF-7. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012.
4. Provide mechanical ventilation for the residential areas of the building per Table 403.3, IMC 2012. Reference: Section 401.2 and 403.3, IMC 2012 and Sections R402.4.1.2 and R403.5, IECC 2012.
5. A dressing room is not a storage room; revise the calculations for the two dressing rooms served by HP-1 and HP-2 using a listed occupancy classification from Table 403.3, IMC 2012 that most closely resembles the actual use of the spaces (e.g. sports locker room, retail dressing room, etc.). Reference: Section 403.3, IMC 2012.
6. Show how the dryer installation complies with Section 504.5, IMC 2012.

11. Provide heating and cooling load calculations that justify the capacities of the heating and cooling equipment specified for the project. Reference: Sections C403.2.1 and C403.2.2, IECC 2012, and Section 312.1, IMC 2012.
12. Revise the energy code analysis for the building envelope, coordinating the building components used in the analysis with those shown on the drawing (i.e. coordinate the wall types shown on the plans with the wall types used in the COMcheck analysis). Reference: Section C303.1, IECC 2012, as amended by the City of Tucson.
13. Clarify how the "Additional Efficiency Package Requirements" noted in COMcheck (C406, IECC 2012) is to be accomplished for the commercial portions of the building. The envelope and mechanical compliance certificates note that reduced lighting power is to be used to comply with Section C406 but the interior lighting compliance certificate calls for high efficiency HVAC to be used to comply with Section C406. Reference: Sections C101.4.6 and C401.2, IECC 2012.
14. Show how the residential portions of the building envelope are to be constructed to limit the air leakage per the requirements of Section R402.4, IECC 2012.

Please clarify that only a NFPA 13 system will be installed. This is based on IBC 506.3 that requires a NFPA 13 system if needed for area increase.

Code sheet G0.03 does not indicate any type of fire alarm system for the Group R-2 Occupancy.

Sheet E2.6 indicates that card readers will be used on egress doors in the stairways. Are these doors to be locked from the egress side? Please indicate compliance with Section 1008.1.9.11.

Please indicate that standpipes will be provided per Section 905.3.1
