| 01/11/2016 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | 1. Show the location of water heater WH-1 on the drawings; coordinate with detail 2/P2, CW & HW riser. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012. 2. Provide an automatic faucet for the lavatory, dispensing a maximum of 0.25 gallons per metering cycle. Verify that the automatic faucet will operate for a minimum time of 10-seconds. Reference: Section 416.6, IPC 2012, as amended by the City of Tucson and Section 606.4, ICC/ANSI A117.1-03. 3. Provide the number of drinking fountains that complies with the requirements of Section 1109.5.1, IBC 2012 and Section 410.2, IPC 2012. 4. Revise the pipe sizes called out for the flush valves so that the water velocities will not exceed that recommended by the pipe manufacturer (e.g. limit the water velocity to less than 8 FPS for copper, PEX, or CPVC piping). At a minimum design flow rate of 25 GPM for a siphonic, flush-valve water closet, a 1/2" Type L copper pipe has a flow velocity of 34.4 FPS. Reference: Table 604.3, IPC 2012. 5. Verify that hot or tempered water is provided to the sinks (P3) and that the source of the hot or tempered water is within 50 feet of the new fixtures. Reference: Sections 607.1 and 607.2, IPC 2012. 6. The specified temperature mixing valve (Watts USG-B) is listed as conforming to ASSE 1070, not ASSE 1016. Revise the specifications to note the correct ASSE standard so that an incorrect mixing valve is not substituted. Reference: Sections 416.5 and 607.1.2, IPC 2012. 7. Clarify how the sink (P3) in room 105 is to be vented. Reference: Section 901.2.1, IPC 2012. |

Show the minimum seasonal energy efficiency rating (SEER) for the new heat pump unit in the equipment schedule. Reference: Section C403.2.3, IECC 2012. 3. Verify that power is being supplied to EF-1 and describe the sequence of operation for the fan. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012. |
