02/24/2016 ERIC NEWCOMB BUILDING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. PREVIOUS COMMENT 2; SHEET G1.0: THE CALCULATION FOR THE WOMENS WATER CLOSETS ON THE FIRST FLOOR USES A 100 OCCUPANT LOAD, RATHER THAN THE ACTUAL 180. PLEASE REVISE.

02/29/2016 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Comment still on hold. [Second comment: This comment will be on hold until the occupancy issues for this building are approved by the building reviewer.] [Initial comment: Provide the minimum plumbing facilities required by Table 2902.1 and Section 2902.2, IBC 2012, for assembly occupancy. See also, Section 1109.2.1, IBC 2012.]
2. It is unclear how many downspouts serve each roof area. If there is only one downspout for each roof area and assuming that the slope of each gutter is less than 1/16" per foot, then the gutters are undersized. In addition, none of the drawings show how the downspouts terminate. [Second comment: Revise the calculations for the roof drainage design based on the 100-year hourly rainfall rate for Tucson, 3" per hour. The minimum sizes of gutters and downspouts shall be based on the information shown in tables 1106.6, 1106.2 (1) and 1106.2 (1), IPC 2012. (Reference: Sections 1106.1, 1106.4, and 1108.3, IPC 2012.] [Initial comment: Provide location and sizing information for the gutters and downspouts. Reference: Sections 1106.1 and 1106.6, IPC 2012.]
03/01/2016 ROBERT SHERRY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change The wall types described on sheet A202 show different construction and U-values for the cavity insulation than the key notes on the same sheet (e.g. wall type 1: 12x8x16 block with R23 cavity insulation; Keynotes 5 and 6: 8x8x16 block with R-21 cavity insulation). Clarify the extent of exterior wall 3 (South); does the area include the masonry wall on the south side of the entry courtyard? Where is exterior wall 4 (concrete block: 12"; metal furring with R23 cavity insulation) shown? Revise the "Exterior Insulated Glazing" table on sheet A206 to require the U-values and SHGC values to be NFRC-certified. [Second comment: Revise the component descriptions for the exterior walls on the COMcheck Envelope Compliance Certificate to match the wall designs shown on the drawings. Clarify the 0.5 continuous R-value shown for the roof. Provide NFRC fenestration product ratings for the U-factor and the SHGC values on COMcheck or use the appropriate default U-factor and SHGC values from Tables C303.1.3 (1), C303.1.3 (2) and C303.1.3.(3), IECC 2012. Include the required NFRC-certified maximum U-factor and the SHGC values for the fenestration (i.e. doors and windows) on the drawings. Reference: Section C303.1.3, IECC 2012.] [Initial comment: Show that the proposed building complies with the energy code for the building envelope, the mechanical systems, the service water heating system, and the internal lighting. Reference: Sections C101.3, C101.5, C103.2, C303, and C401.2, International Energy Conservation Code 2012.]
