2. Southwest Gas, the local gas utility, provides natural gas at 7" WG, 2 PSIG, and 5 PSIG. Appliances needing gas service at 7" WG or greater will require a gas meter that delivers at least 2 PSIG gas into a regulator located after the meter set. Verify the required gas pressure at the inlet for the pizza oven; the submitted listing information calls for 7" WC. Reference: Section 402.1, IFGC 2012.
3. Clarify the required gas input for the pizza oven. The submitted listing information states that the gas output is 190,000 BTUH. Reference: Section 402.2, IFGC 2012.
4. Correct the total connected load for the gas distribution system on sheet M-131. Reference: Section 402.2, IFGC 2012.
5. Provide plumbing plans for the new work, including water isometrics and waste and vent isometrics. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012.
6. Provide automatic faucets for the lavatories, dispensing a maximum of 0.25 gallons per metering cycle. Verify that the automatic faucets will operate for a minimum time of 10-seconds. Reference: Section 416.6, IPC 2012, as amended by the City of Tucson and Section 606.4, ICC/ANSI A117.1-03.
7. Provide structural calculations for the mounting shelf for the water heater to show that the water heater will be safely supported from the building structure. Reference: Section 301.2, IPC 2012.
8. Show how the temperature of the hot water supply to the public lavatories is controlled (i.e. show how the specified thermostatic mixing valve is to be installed). Reference: Sections 416.5 and 607.1, IPC 2012 and Section C404.3, IECC 2012.
9. Provide a detail of the water heater installation, including the excess pressure relief, expansion tank, vacuum relief or other anti-siphon device, safety pan, and valves. Reference: Sections 503, 504, 606.1, 607.2, and 607.3, IPC 2012.
10. Provide calculations showing how the water supply piping has been sized. Reference: Sections 604.1 and 604.3, IPC 2012.
11. Appliances (e.g. soda dispensers, ice makers, tea brewers, etc) to be directly connected to the water supply system that do not have listed, integral backflow preventers or integral air gaps conforming to Section 608.13.1, IPC require backflow prevention. Specify the type of backflow prevention device required for each water connection. Reference: Sections 608.1 and 608.3, IPC 2012.
12. Provide separate indirect waste pipes for each compartment of the 3-compartment sink to protect against cross-contamination or fouling. Reference: Sections 801.2 and 802.1.8, IPC 2012.
13. Indirect waste piping that has a developed length greater than 30-inches (30") when measured horizontally or greater than 54-inches (54") in total developed length shall be trapped. Exception: indirect waste piping conveying only clear-water waste (e.g. effluent from a sanitizing compartment) does not require a trap. Reference: Section 802.2, IPC 2012.
14. Verify the location of the proposed indirect waste receptor at the beverage station is visible for inspection and has ready access for cleaning. Reference: Section 802.3, IPC 2012.
15. Verify that all of the vents (except for vents serving interceptors located outdoors) rise vertically to at least 6" above the flood rims of the fixtures they protect prior to running horizontally. Reference: Section 905.4, IPC 2012.
12/03/2015 ROBERT SHERRY WATER REVIEW Reqs Change Provide the size of the water meter serving this suite, the size of the backflow preventer associated with the water meter, and the total water demand served by the water meter. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012.
