09/17/2015 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | 1. Provide a site drawing showing the size and route of the building water supply along with the location and size of both the water meter and the reduced pressure backflow preventer assembly. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012. 2. Provide a site drawing showing the size, route, and slope of the building sewer and the location of its connection to the public sewer. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012. 3. Determine the hot water demand that the water heater will serve and verify that the capacity of the specified water heater can meet the calculated demand. Reference: Sections 303.2 and 607.1, IPC 2012. 4. Verify that the recirculation detail for the water heater complies with the manufacture's installation instructions and that the hot water return connects to the cold water inlet of the water heater. Reference: Sections 303.2 and 607.2.2, IPC 2012. 5. All water outlets or direct-connection of water to an appliance shall be protected against backflow. Specify the device to be used for each outlet or appliance connection (e.g. all carbonated and non-carbonated beverage dispensers require a backflow preventer listed to ASSE 1022 per Sections 608.16.1 and 608.16.10, IPC 2012). Reference: Sections 608.15 and 608.16, IPC 2012. 6. Provide the rim elevation of the next upstream sanitary manhole and the first floor elevation. Determine the need for a backwater valve per Section 715.1, IPC 2012, as amended by the City of Tucson. 7. Provide separate indirect waste pipes for each compartment of the 3-compartment sink to protect against cross-contamination or fouling. Reference: Sections 801.2 and 802.1.8, IPC 2012. 8.
