09/21/2015 ROBERT SHERRY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Verify the heating and cooling load calculations and compare them with the capacities of the specified heating and cooling equipment. Reference: Sections C403.2.1 and C403.2.2, IECC 2012, and Section 312.1, IMC 2012.
2. Revise the ventilation calculations to indicate the main space is a nail salon, not "Education, Classroom (9+)".
09/21/2015 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Provide a copy of the manufacturer's product literature for the pedicure sink, showing how it is to be installed (e.g. gravity drain versus pumped drain) and the listing information. Reference: Section 402, IPC 2012 and Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012.
2. Provide water isometrics and waste and vent isometrics for the new work. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012.
3. Verify that the specified temperature mixing valve for the lavatory is listed as conforming to ASSE 1070, not just ASSE. Reference: Sections 416.5 and 607.1.2, IPC 2012.
4. Verify that the automatic faucet specified for the lavatory will be set to dispense a maximum of 0.25 gallons per metering cycle and will operate for a minimum time of 10-seconds. Reference: Section 416.6, IPC 2012, as amended by the City of Tucson and Section 606.4, ICC/ANSI A117.1-03.
5. Plumbing Specification and Note #6 states that the design pressure for water is 55 PSI but the water calculation is based on a water pressure of 65 PSI. Contact Tucson Water Mapping (791-2658) for the water pressure range for the address.
6. The pedicure sinks require individual backflow protection (i.e. each HW and CW connection requires a backflow preventer); include the pressure drop for the backflow preventers in the pipe sizing calculations. Use the calculated pressure remaining for friction loss when calculating the correct friction loss per 100 feet. Reference: Sections 604.1 and 608.1, IPC 2012, as amended by the City of Tucson.
7. The developed length of the hot water supply piping appears to be greater than fifty feet; provide a method for maintaining the temperature of the hot water supply system. Reference: Section 607.2, IPC 2012.
8. Provide indirect waste piping for the discharges of the reduced pressure backflow preventers to an approved indirect waste receptor. Reference: Section 608.13.3, IPC 2012.
9. Locate the reduced pressure backflow preventers to conform to the access and clearance requirements of Section 608.14, IPC 2012.
10. Provide cleanouts for all horizontal drains; the cleanouts shall be sized per Section 708.7, IPC 2012 and shall open to allow cleaning in the direction of flow. Reference: Sections 708.3.1 and 708.5, IPC 2012.
