| 09/08/2015 | ROBERT SHERRY | WATER | REVIEW | Reqs Change | Tucson Water limits 1-1/2" water meters to maximum demand of 75-GPM. Using the IPC fixture units and demand curve, as required by Tucson Water, the demand will be approximately 89 GPM instead of the 72 GPM demand obtained using the UPC fixture units and demand curve. Provide a letter from Tucson Water allowing a 1-1/2" water meter to be used for this demand. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012. |
| 09/08/2015 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | 1. Provide pressure-absorbing devices for the water connections to appliances equipped with quick-acting or solenoid valves (e.g. the clothes washer, P11). Reference: Section 604.9, IPC 2012. 2. Verify the point of connection to the public sewer. If the connection is south of the building instead of to the north, provide the rim elevation of the next upstream sanitary manhole and the first floor elevation. Determine the need for a backwater valve per Section 715.1, IPC 2012, as amended by the City of Tucson. 3. Verify the size of the existing section of gas pipe located between (E) AC-7 and new AC-2. Using Table 402.4(2), IFGC 2012, a load of 180 CFH at 175 feet would require a 1-1/4" pipe instead of the existing 1" pipe. |
| 09/09/2015 | ROBERT SHERRY | MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | 1. Clarify the location of the return grilles for conference rooms A and B; are they discharging into the return air plenum? 2. Clarify how the return air from the first floor rooms enters into the return air plenum without using the egress corridor as a duct. Reference: Section 601.2, IMC 2012. 3. The NFRC web site does not recognize the CPD # submitted on the envelope compliance certificate (SOL-A-16-00099-00001). Provide documentation for the specified window. |
