2. All water outlets or direct-connection of water to an appliance shall be protected against backflow. Specify the device to be used for each outlet or appliance connection. At a minimum, beverage dispensers require the use of a backflow preventer that is listed to ASSE 1022. Reference: Sections 608.15, 608.16, and 608.16.10, IPC 2012.
3. Verify that all of the vents (except for vents serving interceptors located outdoors) rise vertically to at least 6" above the flood rims of the fixtures they protect prior to running horizontally. Reference: Section 905.4, IPC 2012.
