In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide two complete sets of revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. General: 1. Provide minimum 3/32" lettering per Unified Development Code. Refer to schedules, details and keynote numbers on plan layouts. Sheet G-002 2. Please correct the accessibility code specified on the code analysis to the ANSI A117.1-09. 3. Please correct the energy code specified on the code analysis to the 2012 IECC. 4. Clarify the construction type for this building. The project data box indicates VB and the code data box indicates IIA, 107.2. 5. The cumulative occupant load for the individual areas identified on the code analysis totals 273 yet 272 is indicated. Please clarify, 107.2. 6. The proposed design will eliminate (2) smoke compartments for the second floor. Provide justification for this reduction to include square footage of refuge areas to accommodate the adjoining smoke compartments for both ambulatory and non-ambulatory persons, 407.5. 7. Provide separation between corridors and other areas, 407.2. Refer to the following areas: a. The dining area and the south corridor b. The east corridor from the adjoining office and lounge c. The floor plan legend does not specify what type of wall the solid black lines represent. d. A rating is not indicated across the double doors in the west corridor. Sheets S101 & S102 8. Please provide a key plan on sheets S101 and S102 to identify where on the building this sheet applies. 9. Correct the page title on sheet S101. Should this be Partial 'Second' Floor Plan instead of first floor plan? Sheet A-501 10.
