This letter reflects comments to be addressed. The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2012 International Building Code and local amendments. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide two complete sets of revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval.

SITE PLAN:
1. Indicate the location of the sidewalk from rear building exit (secondary exit) to the public way, 1027.5.

STRUCTURAL PLAN:
2. Provide a minimum 1 hour fire-rated assembly for exterior walls located five (5) feet from imaginary property line, 602.1. Openings and glazing located in fire-rated assemblies must comply with section 716. Penetrations through a fire-rated wall assembly must comply with 714.3.2. Include manufacturer specifications on plan set for any fire stop systems on penetrations with brand, type and installation requirements.
3. Clarify the section area of the steel stud lintels. The structural calculation indicates a 4x6 section area yet the plan shows a 6x6 lintel. Is a third 2x6 necessary as indicated in the cross section detail on the structural calculations?
