05/07/2015 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | 1. Verify the size of the building sewer; on sheet U-1 it is identified as 6" on the drawing and 4" in the notes. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012. 2. The layout of the grease waste piping allows for the possibility of multiple users for the proposed gravity grease interceptor. Identify the party who will be responsible for the maintenance of the interceptor (e.g. the building owner). Reference: Section 302 1, IPC 2012. 3. Provide an approved vacuum relief valve for the scheduled bottom-fed water heater which is located above the fixture outlets. Reference: Section 504.2, IPC 2012. 4. If the specified water heater is not supplied with integral heat traps, provide heat traps on the supply and discharge piping. Reference: Section C404.4, IECC 2012. 5. If the specified water heater is not supplied with integral heat traps, provide 0.5" of insulation with a maximum conductivity of 0.27 BTU per inch/h F on the first 8 feet of supply and discharge piping. Reference: Section C404.5, IECC 2012. 6. An approved 2-way cleanout fitting is a single fitting, not a field-assembled group of individual fittings as shown in detail 6/P2.0. Reference: Sections 708.3.5 and 708.5, IPC 2012. 7. Provide sizing calculations for the proposed gravity grease interceptor. The minimum acceptable size for a gravity grease interceptor is 300 gallons. Reference: Section 1003.3, IPC 2012, as amended by the City of Tucson. 8. Sheet A3.0 shows two roof drains and two overflow drains on the roof, indicates that the leaders are 4", and references the plumbing drawings for further information (see also details 5 and 6/A7.1).
