The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2012 International Residential Code and local amendments. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you provide two complete sets of revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Clarify first and second floor labels on each applicable plan view. 2. Provide a complete cross section drawing from the foundation to the roof framing where new exterior walls are being constructed to indicate connections and load transfer. 3. Define the limits of walking spaces over roof areas. Two exterior doors are shown on the second floor layout plan. Clarify where these doors lead and specify the height and locations of all guard railing. 4. Specify roof covering materials for exterior walk decks, R902.1. 5. Indicate the proposed method of connecting existing roof and floor framing members to new beams. Reference details 4, 6 and 7 sheet 5, R801.2. 6. Plumbing schedule indicates five (5) tubs and/or showers. Only four (4) fixtures indicated. Clarify. 7. Specify the vents for the plumbing fixtures located in the hall bathroom, P3101.1. 8. Include a gas bond on the electrical riser diagram, E3607/8. 9. Provide a light switch at the bottom of the stairs to control a fixture illuminating the stairway, E3903.3. 10. The total gas demand is not equal to the cumulative value of the combined appliance load. Clarify the 23 CFH discrepancy.
