This letter reflects comments to be addressed. The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2012 International Residential Code and local amendments. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you provide two complete sets of revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Code amendments adopted by Pima County do not apply to projects located in the City of Tucson. Please correct notations accordingly.

STRUCTURAL / FRAMING PLAN:
2. The proposed 2x6 rafters are not rated to span 16 feet at the porch behind the new garage. Specify roof framing members capable of supporting the proposed design, R801.2.

PLUMBING PLAN:
3. Gas piping plans must be provided to extend supply lines. Include the diameter and length of lines, input demand for each appliance, total demand, and total developed length from meter to the most remote appliance on the system, G2413.1, Table G2413.4 (1).

ELECTRICAL PLAN:
4. Designate the circuit number for all new outlets including light fixtures, receptacles, appliances, and equip disconnects on the electrical layout, E3703.5.
5. Laundry circuit shall serve no other outlets, E3703.3, 3901.8.
6. Kitchens require two or more 2O-amp small appliance circuits to serve countertop receptacles. Such circuits shall be GFCI protected and shall not serve other rooms (except breakfast areas, pantries, etc.), E3901.3.

OUTDOOR LIGHTING CODE
7. Exterior lighting within 25 feet of adjacent residential property lines must be fully shielded, 401.3.3. Please provide appropriate notation for exterior light at rear of proposed garage.
