1. The building plans have been reviewed by Zoning Review Section but cannot approve the plan until all zoning comments or concerns have been addressed.

2. The building plans appear to meet the proposed development package but Zoning cannot approve until a development package has been approved.

3. The address shown in the title block is not correct, 899 E Wilmot, this should be 899 N Wilmot.

4. Zoning will re-review the building plan on the next submittal to insure compliance with the approved development package. Additional comments may be forthcoming.

02/05/2015 ROBERT SHERRY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Provide a listing of the materials that will be located in the HAZMAT room; include the quantities of the materials and how they are packaged. Clarify the construction of the room and provide for any exhaust requirements. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012.
2. If the exhaust fans are new, provide the air balancing data and electrical requirements for the fans. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012.
3. Provide energy code compliance calculations for the addition to the building envelope; use the climate zone for Tucson. Provide sufficient detail on the drawings to evaluate the energy compliance of the additions to the building envelope. Reference: Sections C101.4.3, C101.5, and C103.2, International Energy Conservation Code 2012.
4. Show that the relocated window complies with the requirements of the current code. Provide NFRC fenestration product ratings for the U-factor and the SHGC values on COMcheck or use the appropriate default U-factor and SHGC values from Tables C303.1.3 (1), C303.1.3 (2) and C303.1.3.(3), IECC 2012. Reference: Section C303.1.3, IECC 2012.
5. It is not clear if the three heat pumps noted in the schedule on M-2 are new or are being reused. If they are new, provide heating and cooling load calculations that justify the capacities of the heating and cooling equipment specified for the project and show that the proposed heat pumps meet the requirements of Sections C403.2.2, C403.2.3, C403.2, and C403.3 (e.g. provide the mechanical energy code compliance certification from COMcheck). Reference: Section C303.1, International Energy Conservation Code 2012.
6. If the three heat pumps noted in the schedule on M-2 are new, show the size, routing, and termination of the condensate drains. Reference: Section 307.2.1, IMC 2012 as amended by the City of Tucson.
7. Provide calculations to show how ventilation will be provided for the occupied spaces. Reference: Section 401.2, IMC 2012.
8. Provide an air balancing report prior to the final mechanical inspection to verify that the HVAC systems are capable of supplying and exhausting at least the minimum air flow rates called for in the design drawings. The balancing shall be performed in accordance with the procedural standards of either the National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB) or the Associated Air Balance Council (AABC). Reference: Section 403.7, IMC 2012.
9. The drawings indicate that a return air plenum is being utilized. Verify that the materials installed in the plenum conform to Section 602.2.1, IMC 2012.
10. Provide smoke detectors in the return air duct, for all air distribution systems sharing the return air plenum with a total design return air capacity greater than 2,000 CFM. Reference: Section 606.2.1, IMC 2012.
11. Smoke detectors shall be located upstream of any outside air connections. Reference: Sections 606.2.1 and 606.2.2, IMC 2012.
12. Show the location of the visible and audible signals for the duct smoke detectors. Reference: Section 606.4.1, IMC 2012.
