J. Signs shall be used for the purpose of identification and direction. The design of permitted signs shall be architecturally integrated with the building design. Plans for signs shall be reviewed as part of the architectural and design controls to ensure aesthetic treatment and compatibility with the other development areas and the surrounding neighborhood.

Plan Tucson indentifies the rezoning site as in an area designated on the Future Growth Scenario Map as "Downtown".
LT1 Integrate land use, transportation, and urban design to achieve an urban form that supports more effective use of resources, mobility options, more aesthetically-pleasing and active public spaces, and sensitivity to historic and natural resources and neighborhood character.
LT28.3.14 Support environmentally sensitive design that protects the integrity of existing neighborhoods, complements adjacent land uses, and enhances the overall function and visual quality of the street, adjacent properties, and the community.
