SUBJECT: Chapman Automotive East - Offsite Paving Improvement Plans

PROJECT REVIEWER: Simon Ramos, EIT, Traffic Engineering, City of Tucson DOT

The Signing and Striping Section has completed the reviewed of the PIA plan and recommends a conditional approval of signing and striping plans. The following comments need to be addressed prior to submittal of the mylar plan set for signatures.

1. Include/complete the plan number "I-2014-009" in the title block of each sheet.

2. Include Development Services Department PIA activity number "T14PI00009 on cover sheet.

3. On page 4 of 4, DELETE all "hot-sprayed" in General Notes for Pavement Marking.

4. On page 4 of 4, INCLUDE "Note #3" in the Median End Treatment Notes.

5. On page 4 of 4, REMOVE all shading as indicated in red-lines.

6. On page 4 of 4, ADD to General Notes: "Any sign that is to be relocated shall be replaced new."

7. On page 4 of 4, REPLACE "NO TRUCKS OVER 3 TONS GVW" sign with "NO TRUCKS OVER 26 FT." sign.

8. On page 4 of 4, ADD signs and object markers as per red-lines.

PROJECT REVIEWER: Richard Leigh, DOT, Permits and Codes Section

RESUBMITTAL REQUIRED: TDOT Permits Section Section has reviewed the PIA paving plan and does not recommend approval at this time. The following comments need to be addressed in the subsequent review submittal. Please return redlined drawings with next submittal. Please reference PIA activity number on all correspondences.

1. Include the plan number "I-2014-009" in the title block of each sheet.
2. Include the PIA activity number "T14PI00009 on cover sheet.
3. Sheet 1: Remove PCRWRD Standard Notes, notes are not applicable to these plans.
4. Sheet 2: Provide a concrete valley gutter per PC/COT Standard Detail 208 across the proposed driveway on 22nd Street and at the intersection of Belvedere Avenue and 22nd Street.
5. Sheet 2: Indicate the proposed cross slope of the driveway entrances. The cross slope in the pedestrian crosswalk area shall not exceed 2%.
6. Sheet 2: Provide a cross section of the median island on 22nd Street.
7. Sheet 2: The pavement structural section for the left turn lane on 22nd Street must match existing. See paving plan number I-71-00.
8. Sheet 3: Provide cross sections of Belvedere Avenue.
