Lester Applicant: Tom Kirschner This letter reflects comments to be addressed. The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2012 International Residential Code and local amendments. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you provide two complete sets of revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Revise code references to the currently adopted standard or appeal to the Building Official for use of the 2006 IRC as referenced on sheets 4.0 and 6.0. FLOOR PLAN: 2. Show the location of the attic access in a hallway or other readily accessible location, R807. FOUNDATION PLAN: 3. Correct section detail reference for porch columns on foundation layout sheet 2.0 4. A minimum of (2) anchor bolts are required for each sill plate located no less than 7 bolt diameters from each end. Revise detail 3-2.0 accordingly or provide an alternate anchorage system such as Simpson MA series hardware.
