The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2012 International Residential Code with local amendments. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide two complete sets of revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval. PLUMBING PLAN: 1. Provide a trap primer for the floor drain located in the garage, P3201.2. MECHANICAL PLAN: 2. Gas appliances require combustion air openings, M1701.1. Ensure sufficient air openings are provided for the gas-fired clothes dryer and that any penetrations through the insulation are thermally isolated, N1102. ELECTRICAL PLAN: 3. Receptacles located below a counter, where the countertop extends more than 6" beyond its support base, shall not be counted as one of the receptacles to serve the small appliance requirements, E3901.4.5. Provide a GFCI protected receptacle to serve the kitchen island, E3901.4.2/3. OUTDOOR LIGHTING CODE 4. Include the courtyard illumination on the outdoor lighting calculations.
