Provide tempered water for the lavatories and public hand-washing sinks in restrooms using approved devices conforming to ASSE 1070. Reference: Sections 416.5 and 607.1.2, IPC 2012. 2. Revise the water distribution system design criteria to account for the actual static lift to the highest fixture (e.g. the sink on the second floor). Reference: Section 604.1, IPC 2012, as amended by the City of Tucson. 3. Provide a water pressure regulator conforming to ASSE 1003 or CSA B356 to limit the water pressure to 80 PSI or less. Revise the water pressure calculations as required. Reference: Section 604.8, IPC 2012 and Section E103.3 (1), Appendix E, IPC 2012. 4. Verify that the roof drains used for the secondary (overflow) roof drainage system conform to ASME A112.6.4 0r ASME A112.3.1 (See detail 4/A8). Reference: Section 1102.6, IPC 2012. 5. The two low roof sections located between columns 9 and 10 and between columns D and K are noted as each having only 640 square feet of roof to drain but the overflow from the two adjacent roof sections (each with 2164 square feet) should be included when sizing the drain sizes for the two low roof sections. On sheet P2.2, one set of roof/overflow drains is called out as being 4" in size and the other set of roof/overflow drains is called out as being 3" in size but on sheet P1.1 both sets are labeled as being 3" in size. Also, with a total drainage area of 2804 square feet and a slope of ΒΌ" per foot, each of the horizontal storm drain pipes must be at least 4" in diameter. Reference: Sections 1106.2 and 1106.3, IPC 2012. 6. Provide roof drainage and hydraulic size calculations for the overflow scuppers based on the 100-year hourly rainfall rate for Tucson, 3" per hour. Reference: Sections 1101.7, 1106.1, 1106.4, and 1108.3, IPC 2012, and Sections 1611.1 and 1611.3, IBC 2012. |
