11/13/2014 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Provide calculations showing how the water supply piping has been sized. Include all fixtures when calculating the total demand and determining pipe sizes. Reference: Sections 604.1 and 604.3, IPC 2012.
2. Specify the materials to be used for the water distribution piping. Reference: Section 605.4, IPC 2012.
3. Specify the materials to be used for the gas piping. Reference: Section 403.1, IFGC 2012.
4. Clarify the total connected load for the gas meter; detail 12/P4.1 indicates a total load of 930 CFH but the total for the appliances shown is 830 CFH. Reference: Section 402.2, IFGC 2012.
5. Revise the location of the sediment trap to be downstream of the appliance shut off valve, as close to the equipment as possible (see detail 12/M3.2). Reference: Section 408.4, IFGC 2012.
11/13/2014 ROBERT SHERRY WATER REVIEW Reqs Change Provide a site utility plan showing the location of the water meter and the reduced pressure backflow assembly. In reference to detail 13/P4.1, the water meter is typically located at the property line. Reduced pressure backflow prevention assemblies are required to be installed in locations accessible to Tucson Water. Reference: Chapter XXVII, Article V, Section 27-72, the Tucson Code, http://cms3.tucsonaz.gov/sites/default/files/water/docs/backflow-ordinance.pdf
11/13/2014 ROBERT SHERRY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Revise the system descriptions in the mechanical compliance certificate to coordinate with the units specified in the HVAC Equipment Schedule on sheet M1.1. Units RTU-1, RTU-2, and RTU-3 do not meet the energy efficiency ratios shown in Table 403.2.3 (1) when the specified total cooling capacities are used. Include the two unit heaters and the split system (AHU-1/ACC-1) in the analysis. Reference: Section C403.2.3, IECC 2012.
2. Provide the Mechanical Compliance Certificate on 8.5"x 11" paper; the font is too small for scanning when printed on 24"x 36" sheets.
3. Clarify the sequence of operation for the fan coil serving the office. Is the fan coil a backup for RTU-1? Reference: Section C403.2.2, IECC 2012.
4. Clarify the mathematics behind the ventilation calculations e.g. why do retail areas A and B have identical areas but require different amounts of outside air? Why does sales area C have more area than area B but require less outside air? Why do the calculations for the corridors, which require only 0.06 CFM of outside air per square foot, show between 0.14 and 0.47 CFM per square foot? Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012, Section 403.3, IMC 2012, and Section C403.2.4, IECC 2012.
5. Show the size, routing, and termination of the condensate drains. Condensate drains shall be terminated at an approved disposal location. Reference: Section 307.2.1, IMC 2012 as amended by the City of Tucson.
6. Provide calculations to show that adequate exhaust is being provided for the animal areas (none is shown in the ventilation calculations). Reference: Section 403.3, IMC 2012.
7. Provide signage indicating the total equivalent length of the concealed dryer exhaust duct. Reference: Section 504.6.5, IMC 2012.

11/25/2014 KEN VAN KARSEN ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change T14CM07238

1. Single line diagram of service for tenant (building): Provide a fault current analysis with AIC entries at the service entrance and each panel.

2. Panel schedule information: Notate the AIC rating of new circuit breakers shall be consistent with the panel board rating. Series rated type circuit breakers shall be installed so as to maintain the UL series rating of the system.
