Clarify 2. Sheet A-1 Basketball Court Occupant Load: Clarify Occupant Load calculation. On the drawings, separate the areas of the space (seating, court etc.) and provide calculations using the square footage and occupant load factor for each portion of the space. Reference IBC Chapter 10 3. Sheet A-1 Fixture Calculations: As presented with an occupant load of 455 (228 each, Male & Female), the basketball court area requires plumbing fixtures as follows: Male: Water Closets; 4 required: 1 per 75 (228/75=3.04) Lavatories; 2 required: 1 per 200 (228/200=1.1) Female: Water Closets; 6 required: 1 per 40 (228/40=5.7) Lavatories: 2 required: 1 per 150 (228/150=1.52) Based on the drawings, it appears the occupants of the basketball court during non-school hours may only have access to Restroom 2 which does not provide the minimum number of plumbing fixtures required for the number of occupants indicated. Please clarify and revise as necessary. 4. Provide written responses to all comments. |
