This letter reflects comments to be addressed. The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2012 International Residential Code with local amendments. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide two complete sets of revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. The City of Tucson has adopted the 2012 International family of codes. Correct references to the 2006 IRC on sheet G-100.

FLOOR PLAN:
2. Doors between a garage and a residence shall be self-closing minimum 20-minute fire-rated, R302.5.1.

SECTIONS - DETAILS:
3. Indicate impermeable insulation applied tight to the roof sheathing to a value specified in Table R806.5.

MECHANICAL PLAN:
4. Provide Manual J/S/D calculations for the forced air unit in accordance with M1401.3, M1601.1.

ELECTRICAL PLAN:
5. Specify GFCI protection for receptacle at garage ceiling, E3902.
6. Indicate the location of the carbon monoxide detector, R315.

INTERNATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION CODE:
7. Specify high-efficacy lamps for at least 75% of all lighting fixtures, N1104.1.
8. Show hot water pipe with minimum R-3 insulation, N1103.4.2.
