10/10/2014 ROBERT SHERRY WATER REVIEW Reqs Change Clarify the demand served by water meters 1 and 2: what is the size of each meter (i.e. is water meter #1 a 1" or a 1-1/2" meter?), what type of system do they serve (predominantly tank or flush valve), and what is your calculated demand for each meter? Tucson Water limits 1" water meters to a maximum demand of 37.5-GPM and 1-1/2" water meters to a maximum demand of 75-GPM. Verify that the existing water meters are not under-sized.
10/10/2014 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Show how the temperature of the hot water supply to the lavatory in the new holding room is to be controlled. Reference: Sections 416.5 and 607.1, IPC 2012 and Section C404.3, IECC 2012.
2. The specified temperature mixing valve for fixture P1, Watts model L111, is an obsolete product that was listed as conforming to ASSE 1069 and ASSE 1070, not ASSE 1016 (it also conflicts with the mixing valve noted in detail 202). Revise the specifications to provide a currently-listed product that conforms to the correct ASSE standard so that an incorrect mixing valve is not substituted. Reference: Sections 416.5 and 607.1.2, IPC 2012.
3. Room 79 (Alien Processing) shows a hose bibb supplied with hot water but this hose bibb is not shown in either fixture schedule. Include this hose bibb in the appropriate demand calculation. Reference: Section 604.3, IPC 2012.
4. Keynote 4 on sheet A-9 calls for the relocation of a drinking fountain. Where is it shown on the plumbing drawings?
10/10/2014 ROBERT SHERRY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Provide notes 3, 4, and 5 for the ductless heat pump schedule. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012.
2. Provide heating and cooling load calculations that justify the capacities of the heating and cooling equipment specified for the project (HP-1, HP-2, and DAC-1). Reference: Sections C403.2.1 and C403.2.2, IECC 2012.
3. Provide calculations for the Weapons room (106) to show that the ventilation system is sized in accordance with Section 403.3, IMC 2012.
4. Room 25 (Fitness) appears to have a significantly different occupancy type. Verify that the room has adequate ventilation for it new use. Reference: Section 403.3, IMC 2012.
