The temperature mixing valve specified for P-1 is listed as conforming to ASSE 1070, not ASSE 1016. Revise the specifications to note the correct ASSE standard so that an incorrect mixing valve is not substituted. Reference: Sections 416.5 and 607.1.2, IPC 2012. 6. According to sheet P2, the hot water supply piping to the existing four lavatories is being replaced. Show how the temperature of the hot water supply to these public lavatories is to be controlled. The information shall, as a minimum, include U-factors of the envelope systems and fenestration components, along with the R-values of the insulation and the SHGC for the fenestration. The information on the drawings shall agree with the component descriptions shown on the envelope compliance certificate. Note that the residential occupancy areas of the building addition are to meet the residential provisions of the IECC while the commercial occupancies are to meet the commercial provisions of the IECC. Reference: Sections C101.4.3, C101.4.6, C101.5, and C103.2, International Energy Conservation Code 2012. 2. Relocation of the existing rooftop air conditioner AC-3 to handle new loads constitutes new work. Show that the unit meets the requirements of the current codes. Reference: Section 101.4.3, IECC 2012. 3. Provide heating and cooling load calculations that justify the capacities of the heating and cooling equipment specified for the project. Exhaust fans EF-2 and EF-3 have separate wall switches but are required to run continuously during occupied hours. Provide a method for controlling the operation of the restroom exhaust fans so that all of the air supplied to the restrooms will be exhausted. Reference: Section 403.2.1 (4), IMC 2012. 6. Revise the ventilation calculations to indicate the occupancy classifications that were used to determine the required ventilation rates for each space. Reference: Section 403.2, IMC 2012. 7.
