08/06/2014 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Revise the font size used on the drawings to a minimum height of 3/32-inch. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012.
2. Clarify the model of water heater being installed; the plumbing schedule shows a 60-gallon, 199,999 BTUH input water heater (P800) being installed but the gas riser diagram implies the installation of a water heater with an input of 250 MBH (P808?). Lined water heaters with a heat input of 200,000 BTU per hour or more, an operating water temperature of 210ยบ F or greater, or a nominal water containing capacity of 120 gallons or more are required to comply with the rules contained in Article 4 (Arizona Boilers and Lined Hot Water Heaters) of the Arizona Administrative Code. http://www.azsos.gov/public_services/Title_20/20-05.htm#ARTICLE_4.
3. For the use of PEX tubing, provide a branch tube sizing chart showing the correct size of PEX tubing to be used as a substitute for the copper pipe shown on the drawings. Reference: Sections 303.2 and 604.3, IPC 2012.
4. Provide tempered water for the lavatories and public hand-washing sinks in restrooms using approved devices conforming to ASSE 1070; the specified tempering valve (Leonard 220) is obsolete and was certified only for ASSE 1016. Reference: Sections 416.5 and 607.1.2, IPC 2012.
5. Provide automatic faucets for the lavatories, dispensing a maximum of 0.25 gallons per metering cycle. Reference: Section 416.6, IPC 2012, as amended by the City of Tucson.
6. Provide the manufacturer's safety data sheet (MSDS) for the aluminum chloride contained in the chemical dispenser solution. Justify the use of a double check valve assembly for backflow protection. Reference: Section 608.13.9, IPC 2012.
7. The direct-connection of water to an appliance (e.g. a misting system) shall be protected against backflow. Specify the device to be used for the appliance connection. Reference: Sections 608.1 and 608.16, IPC 2012.
8. Water supply connections to beverage dispensers (e.g. soda dispenser, tea brewer) shall be protected with backflow preventers conforming to ASSE 1022. Reference: Section 608.16.1, IPC 2012.
9. Provide separate indirect waste pipes for each compartment of the 3-compartment sink to protect against cross-contamination or fouling. Reference: Sections 801.2 and 802.1.8, IPC 2012.
08/07/2014 ROBERT SHERRY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. The "Additional Efficiency Package Requirements" noted in COMcheck (C406, IECC 2012) is not applicable to tenant improvements, only to new construction. Reference: Section C401.2.1, IECC 2012.
2. Revise the sequence of operation for the restroom exhaust fan so that all of the air supplied to the restrooms will be exhausted (i.e. do not turn off the fan with the lights). Reference: Section 403.2.1 (4), IMC 2012.
08/08/2014 LEERAY HANLY ELECTRICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change Plan review has been completed and the following corrections are required. Please provide a written response to comments with plan re-submittal.

1) Errata: The fault current calculations pp E6.0 are incorrect for the material types shown in one line diagram. Because this is to be a series rated system this is however irrelevant to overall design.
2) Using a toggle switch for restroom exhaust fans results in a violation of the mechanical codes (recirculation of air when a/c is on). This toggle switch may be replaced with a timer to be set to be on during all business hours.

Corrections for both these items do not necessarily require new plans sets and may be made to the submitted set through notation. (e.g. send me an email saying I can make these minor corrections to the plans and I will)
