07/18/2014 ROBERT SHERRY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. Provide heating and cooling load calculations that justify the capacities of the heating and cooling equipment serving this suite. Reference: Sections C403.2.1 and C403.2.2, IECC 2012.
2. Show that the controls for the existing HVAC systems meet the requirements of Sections C403.2.4 and C403.3. Reference: Section C303.1, International Energy Conservation Code 2012.
3. Show the size, routing, and termination of the condensate drains from E1 and E2. Reference: Section 307.2.1, IMC 2012 as amended by the City of Tucson.
4. Provide the structural detail showing how the hood supports are to be attached to the building structure in accordance with Section 507.6, IMC 2012 (the hood hanging weight plus the weight of personnel working in or on the hood) as noted in detail 3/M2.0. Reference: Section 302.1, IMC 2012.
5. Revise the balancing data for the restroom exhaust fans as shown in the exhaust fan schedule so that all of the air supplied to the restrooms will be exhausted. Reference: Section 403.2.1 (4), IMC 2012.
07/18/2014 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change 1. The two packaged rooftop units are gas-fired. Unless the kitchen appliances are served by a separate gas meter, provide a diagram of the complete natural gas distribution system showing the all of the loads, developed lengths, and the layout of the distribution piping. Reference: Section 107.2.1, IBC 2012.
2. Provide structural calculations and mounting details for the mounting shelf for the water heater to show that the water heater will be safely supported from the building structure. Reference: Section 301.2, IPC 2012.
3. Provide automatic faucets for the lavatories, dispensing a maximum of 0.25 gallons per metering cycle. (Note that the specified faucet has been discontinued by the manufacturer.) Reference: Section 416.6, IPC 2012, as amended by the City of Tucson.
4. Appliances (e.g. tea brewers, ice makers, etc) to be directly connected to the water supply system that do not have listed, integral backflow preventers or integral air gaps conforming to Section 608.13.1, IPC require backflow prevention. Specify the type of backflow prevention device required for each water connection. Reference: Sections 608.1 and 608.3, IPC 2012.
5. Provide separate indirect waste pipes for each compartment of the 3-compartment sink to protect against cross-contamination or fouling. Reference: Sections 801.2 and 802.1.8, IPC 2012.
