The PV Racking Detail and the panel section shows anchoring into the top of a TJI L65 top cord with 2~5/16" x 3.5" lag screws. The top cord of this TJI is 1.5" deep and 2.5" wide with a 7/16" thick web member inserted more than halfway into the middle of the cord. a. The lag screws are shown strattleing the top cord at a width which appears to be more then the top cord width of 2.5". Perhaps the bracket and bolt pattern should be parallel with the top cord? b. Please provide a structural detail from Caiman Engineering (signed and sealed) showing the exact configuration of the anchoring system he is proposing. In addition please provide a letter of approval of this detail from the truss manufacturer. END OF REVIEW |
