06/12/2014 | MARTIN BROWN | FIRE | REVIEW | Denied | Sheet a0.2 makes extensive reference to a fire sprinkler system. Our records indicate no existing sprinkler system. Please clarify intent as to the installation of a system. If a sprinkler system is to be installed, this should be included on sheet a0.1 under deferred submittals. A kitchen exhaust hood fire suppression system must be installed in a type 1 hood. Please include this under deferred submittals on sheet a0.1. |

06/18/2014 | LEERAY HANLY | BUILDING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Reqs Change | Plan review has been completed and the following corrections are required. Please provide a written response to comments with plan re-submittal. 1) This is an A2 occupancy, or possibly an F1 but it is not Retail. Change occupancy classification to match actual occupancy type. 2) Restrooms are not considered occupiable space and should not be included in your occupant load calculations 3) Recalculate occupant loads per Table 1004 of the IBC 4) Corrected occupant load calculations may require 2 exits. 5) Door 110A is to swing in direction of egress, a two way swing could interfere with emergency egress. 6) Provide clearance on the latch side of door 110A in compliance with ANSI 117.1 table 404.2.3.2 7) Provide landing and accessible handrails at second exit to rear. 8) Plans indicate that the building is fully sprinklered for fire suppression. If it is not then you should remove all notes about fire suppression. 9) If there is no fire suppression, then it is likely that the exit corridor shall have to be fire rated.
