[Initial comment: Provide tempered water for the lavatories and public hand-washing sinks in restrooms using approved devices conforming to ASSE 1070. Reference: Sections 416.5 and 607.1.2, IPC 2012.] 2. According to the plumbing fixture schedule, the water heater is new. Even if the water heater is not new, the presence of a device to control thermal expansion is a life-safety item and must be installed. Reference: Section 102.6, IBC 2012. [Initial comment: Verify the presence of a device to control the pressure of the water heater storage tank caused by thermal expansion (e.g. an expansion tank). Reference: Section 607.3.2, IPC 2012.] 3. Show the rim elevation, not the invert, of the next upstream manhole (include the Pima County Wastewater Management Department (PCWMD) reference number) and the first floor elevation on the plans. Unless the contour lines are very inaccurate, the first floor elevation is lower than the rim of the next upstream manhole. The calendar plays no part in the possibility of a sewer overflow event. If the rim elevation of the next upstream sanitary manhole is less than 12" below the first floor elevation, provide a backwater valve. [Initial comment: Provide the rim elevation of the next upstream sanitary manhole and the first floor elevation. Determine the need for a backwater valve per Section 715.1, IPC 2012, as amended by the City of Tucson.] |

Indicate on lighting plan which luminaires are type A,B,C, etc. Ref IBC section 107.2.1." Current luminaire schedule does not list manufacturers or model numbers. Provide complete information for plan review. 3) Original comment 5) "Provide sufficient information to show that luminaires under canopy meet the requirements of the Outdoor Lighting Code (for example, if they are full cutoff fixtures then they are exempt from the lumen calculations for the site, but the color temperature must still be 3500K or less) Ref OLC sect 104.2". Cut sheet provided for luminaire may or may not be the intended type of fixture for under the canopy. See comment (2) above. Luminaire schedule requires make and model # for fixtures.
