This letter reflects comments to be addressed. The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2012 International Residential Code and local amendments. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you provide two complete sets of revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions and concerns before permit approval.

STRUCTURAL / FRAMING PLAN:
1. Provide a structurally engineered design for the metal carport and connection of carport to existing building. All engineers involved in the design of the structure are to seal the related sheets of plans, details and calculations in accordance with the rules of the State Board of Technical Registration.
2. The 4x6 beam shown at the porch roof is insufficient for the proposed span. Revise accordingly.

SECTIONS - DETAILS:
3. Specify the method of connection for the proposed ledgers to the supporting walls, R801.2.
4. Provide a cross section drawing indicating the support of the proposed porch roof and connection to existing building.

PLUMBING PLAN:
5. Clarify the size of the water meter. Sheets A1.0 and A5.0 disagree.
6. Correct water conservation requirements: Water closets = 1.6 gallons per flush, Sinks = 2.2 gpm, Showerheads = 2.5 gpm, P2903.2.
7. Specify the maximum developed length of water line from the meter the furthest appliance served, and the lowest available working pressure, P2903.7.
8. Specify the size and location of the plumbing vent serving the proposed shower, P3101.1.

ELECTRICAL PLAN:
9. Indicate GFCI protection for the receptacle located in the bathroom, E3902.

INTERNATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION CODE:
10. Condensation control is required for the unvented roof assembly method. Specify an air-impermeable rigid insulation material sealed tight to the roof sheathing or spray applied closed cell foam to a minimum value of R5, R806.5.
