08/04/2014 ROBERT SHERRY PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Completed
08/05/2014 ROBERT SHERRY MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL REVIEW Reqs Change The submitted COMcheck Envelope Compliance Certificate is incomplete due to the missing documentation for the U-factors used for the walls and roof (see footnote (b) under the component name/description section). In addition, the power plans do not show compliance with the requirements of Section C406, IECC 2012. [Second comment: Provide the COMcheck Envelope Compliance Certificate to demonstrate compliance with the 2012 IECC for the building envelope. Also, as noted in the submitted COMcheck Mechanical Compliance Certificate, the on-site renewable energy option was selected as the additional efficiency package requirement to comply with Section C406, IECC 2012. The power plans however do not show compliance with the requirements of Section C406, IECC 2012. Revise the electrical plans or select one of the other additional efficiency package options. Reference: Section C401.2, IECC 2012.] [Initial comment: Provide energy code compliance calculations for the building envelope and the HVAC systems (e.g. COMcheck); use the climate zone for Tucson. Provide sufficient detail on the drawings to evaluate the energy compliance of the building envelope and the HVAC systems. The information shall, as a minimum, include U-factors of the envelope systems and fenestration components, along with the R-values of the insulation and the SHGC for the fenestration. Reference: Sections C103.2 and C401.2, International Energy Conservation Code 2012.]

The project has been reviewed and it can not be approved at this time. It appears that the proposed site layout is different from what was previously approved on the Tentative Plat (S07-156). The approved Tentative Plat may need to be revised. Contact Patricia Gehlen at 837-4919 for additional information.
