Five additional lavatories and one shower are being supplied with 140 degree Fahrenheit water with no mixing valves. Provide tempered water to all of the lavatories, provide scald-protection for all of the showers, and install any mixing valves per the manufacturer's recommendations. [Initial comment: Provide tempered water for the lavatories using approved devices conforming to ASSE Standard 1070. The temperature mixing valve shown in detail 1/P3.0 is ASSE Standard 1017 listed and, per the manufacturer, "[t]hey cannot be used by themselves for tempering water temperatures at fixtures where ASSE Standard 1016 or ASSE Standard 1070, listed devices are required."
