RESUBMITTAL REQUIRED: Permits and Codes Section has reviewed the PIA Plan and does not recommend approval at this time. The following comments need to be addressed prior to in the subsequent review submittal. Please return redlined drawings with next submittal.


Provide complete roadway centerline data for Ohana Place.

Sheet 2 of 3: Revise water harvesting curb opening detail to reflect TDOT Water Harvesting Curb Cut Detail, see attached. (wttps://www.tucsonaz.gov/tdot/landscape) The maximum curb opening width is 2 feet. Additionally, label openings with a keynote.

Sheet 2 of 3: revise drawing to eliminate the proposed depressed wedge curb section at Sta. 3+10, RT Ohana Place. Wedge curb is designed to be mounted and having the depressed cub may allow for flows to enter the easement area.

Sheet 2 of 3: Revise detail A "Typical H/C Access Ramp" to indicate the placement of vertical curb at back of ramp.

Sheet 2 of 3: Revise drawing to indicate the placement of a curb access ramp per ADOT Sidewalk Ramp Type 2 or similar where the sidewalk terminates on the east side of Ohana Place.

Sheet 2 of 3: Revise drawing to locate the proposed curb access ramp at Sta. 6+13, LT Ohana Place so it will be in line with the east west running sidewalk.

Sheet 2 of 3: Remove proposed crosswalk striping; crosswalk striping is not required on residential Streets.

Sheet 3 of 3: Provide a roadway section that represents the roadway section where sidewalk will not be provided on the south side of Ohana Place. Additionally, indicate the final surface treatment of the area where sidewalk will not be provided.

Provide complete details and sections for the drainage opening at the basin outlet.

Provide a dimensioned detail for wedge curb transitions at scuppers and curb access ramps.

The TDOT Engineering Inspection Unit has completed the review of the PIA plans and recommends denial/resubmittal. The following comments need to be addressed in the subsequent plan submittal. Please return redlined drawings with next submittal and reference PIA activity number on all correspondences.

Sheet 2: My note was in reference to the driveway detail. The note is that in the event that they have sidewalk adjacent to the wedge curb then the curb wings at the driveway depression can only be a minimum of 4' but may also be longer than that, depending on the slope ratio because if the sidewalk is adjacent to the curb, then the wings for the driveway depression have to be 12:1 ratio maximum.
