Traffic Engineering does not recommend approval these plans at this time. Plan is required for re-submittal. Please include a response letter with the next submittal that states how all comments have been addressed.

The following items must be revised or added to the plan:

1. Please verify if there are traffic control signs and foundations along Granada that will be displaced by construction. If so, they will need to be replaced with new. If needed, please call out the signs locations as necessary and use the Sht Keynotes to call out sign nomenclatures.

Attached you will find the Traffic Engineering General Signing Notes that can be added to Sht 2 if needed.

If you wish to email me (Matthew.Geweke@tucsonaz.gov) a PDF of the revision of these requested minor changes, we could expedite the Traffic Eng. acceptance of these plans.

Please provide a copy (pdf) of the applicapble Drianage Report supporting the deisgn of the proposed drainage structure.

1. Sheet 1 of 13: Revise the title block signatories in accordance to PIA format, see DOT PIA guidelines.

2. Sheet 1 of 13: Please expalin how the "Type 2 Grading Permit Note" applies to this project?

3. Sheet 2 of 13: The plans make refernce to Drainage and Grading (otes 15, 20, and 28), Is the intent to use these plans to conduct grading outside of the drainage easement limits? If so, then a grading plan should be obtained for grading outside of drainage easement limits.

4. Sheet 2 of 13: Since substantial amount of grading is taking place outside of the proposed drainage easement, and on private property, then a SWWP Plan should be submitted along with a grading plan to PDSD Engineering for review and approval.

5. Please verify that the property owner, Rio Nuevo, will sign the PIA Contract.

6. Sheet 3 of 13: Please clearly lable ADOT and COT right-of-ways.

7. Sheet 3 of 13: Please lable and indicate 100-year HGL.

8. Sheet 3 of 13: Has clearance for El Paso Southwestern been obtained for the proposed culvert junction structure?

9. In accordance to City Drainage Standards manual, the proposed public drainage easment should extend 10-feet on each side of culvert.

10. Since this project is immediately adjacent to the Street Car Tracks, an Track access permit must be obtained. Please meet with City Street Car management staff to go over project and include any comments/constraints as applicapble.

11. Sheet 5 of 13: Please provide a typical section of both culverts. Detail seperation between each box structure. Also, how will the smaller box be installed next to the larger box, will the gap areas be filled with slurry?

12. The structure plans site ubc building code for the proposed multi box junction structure? Shouldn't ADOT structural loading factors be used to deisgn this structure?
