The following items must be revised or added to the plan. Please include a brief response letter with the next submittal that states how all comments have been addressed and the original redlined set of plans for back checking.

1. Signing & Striping notes are incomplete and incorrect, please see included attachments for current complete notes.

2. Signing requirements for right turn bays need correction. Use R3-5r & R3-5f combination. (note the R3-5f mounts above R3-5r).

3. Pavement Legends for both right turn bays need correction. Please provide measurements between legends.

4. The Valencia median One Way sign must be visible across 55' of roadway so please use the oversize 54x18 R6-1R, double posted.

SUBJECT: Offsite Public Improvements for Circle K at Valencia Rd and Nogales Hwy.

PROJECT REVIEWER: Richard Leigh, DOT, Permits and Codes Section

RESUBMITTAL REQUIRED: Permits and Codes Section has reviewed the PIA Plan and does not recommends approval at this time. The following comments need to be addressed in the subsequent review submittal.

1. Sheet1: Include the plan number "U-2013-007" in the title block of each sheet.

2. Sheet 1: Include Development Services Department PIA activity number "T13PI00008"on cover sheet.

3. Include in legend all lines and symbols used in plan set.

4. Sheet 3: Provide recordation information for Nogales Hwy and Valencia Rd.

5. Sheet 3: The lateral transition and offset of the sidewalk along Nogales Hwy exceeds the maxim allowable per the City's Technical Standards Manual 10-01.3.3.D.1.C & D. Revise to sidewalk location to comply with standard.

6. Sheet 3: Indicate that the cross slope of the pedestrian crosswalk area for the new driveway will not exceed 2%.

7. Sheet 3: Provide spot grades along the saw cut lines along Valencia Rd. and Nogales Hwy.

8. Sheet 3: Provide a Valley gutter per PC/COT S.D. 208 at the proposed driveway entrance on Valencia and provide addition spot grades to ensure positive drainage.

9. Sheet 3: Show all existing and proposed easements in plan view.

10. Sheet 3: Provide a 25' radii on curb returns at the proposed driveway entrances.

11. Offsite flows which previously entered the site on the east side of the project are now being directed north along Nogales Hwy. Please provide a drainage statement addressing how the additional offsite flows will impact the intersection of Valencia Rd and Nogales Hwy along Nogales Hwy. Flows should be accepted and released essentially in the same location and magnitudes.
12. Include details for the relocation of the street lights and traffic signals. Please consult with Ernie Encinas, Ernie.Encinas@tucsonaz.gov, for requirements.
