11/08/2013 | ROBERT SHERRY | MECHANICAL-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | 1. The 2012 International Energy Compliance Code is the relevant energy code for this project. Based on the referenced code sections on sheet MP-1, the 2003 International Energy Compliance Code has been used. Specifically state the duct insulation requirements for this activity (i.e. simply noting "comply with the energy conservation code" is not acceptable). 2. ASHRA 62.1-2004 is not a referenced standard in the 2012 IMC. Provide calculations demonstrating adequate ventilation using the current code or show that the ventilation method used will result in air quality at least equivalent to the method shown in Section 403, IMC 2012. Reference: Section 403.2, IMC 2012. 3. Revise the sequence of operation for the restroom exhaust fan so that all of the air supplied to the restrooms will be exhausted. Using motion sensors to control the fan can result in the exhaust fan being shut off while RTU-5 is still supplying air to the restrooms. The exhausted air from the restrooms shall be limited to no more than 10% of any subsequent supply air stream. Reference: Section 403.2.1 (4), IMC 2012. |
