10/14/2013 | ROBERT SHERRY | PLUMBING-COMMERCIAL | REVIEW | Denied | 1. Provide the minimum plumbing facilities required by Table 2902.1 and Section 2902.2, IBC 2012, for business occupancy (i.e. a service sink). 2. Verify that the specified temperature mixing valve is listed for use with the emergency eyewashes. Reference: Section 303.4, IPC 2012. 3. Verify that the tempered water for the lavatories is supplied using approved devices conforming to ASSE 1070 (the model number for the specified mixing valve is not shown in the Symmons literature as meeting ASSE 1070). Reference: Sections 416.5 and 607.1.2, IPC 2012. 4. The developed length of the hot water supply piping appears to be greater than fifty feet; provide a method for maintaining the temperature of the hot water supply system. Reference: Section 607.2, IPC 2012. 5. Coordinate detail 2/P1 with the waste and vent riser diagram. Provide accessible cleanouts in the island sink vent system to permit rodding of all portions of the vents located below the flood rim of the fixture (not complete in the detail but correct in the riser diagram). The riser diagram does not show the lowest point of the vent connecting to the drainage system; the detail shows this correctly. Reference: Section 916.3, IPC 2012. |
10/14/2013 | ROBERT SHERRY | WATER | REVIEW | Denied | 1. Tucson Water limits a 5/8" meter to a maximum demand of 15 GPM. Your design shows a demand that is in excess of 22 GPM not including the demand due to the vacuum pump and the emergency eyewashes. Provide a letter from Tucson Water confirming that the use of a 5/8" water meter will be allowed for this project. |
