The purpose of this review is to verify compliance to the 2012 International Residential Code with local amendments. In order to facilitate a shorter back check time, we request that you please provide two complete sets of revised plans and calculations, along with a written response to each of the noted items indicating action taken. Other comment references may be derived from additional codes and standards adopted by The City of Tucson. All features have been checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided for review. All portions of this project are assumed to meet other departmental requirements, conditions, and concerns before permit approval. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Remove duplicate sheets from previous review as well as clouds and plan review notes that are not relative to construction drawing information. Revision clouds should be reserved for revisions to approved construction drawings. FOUNDATION PLAN: 2. All exterior framed walls require continuous concrete footings min. 12"wide x 12" below grade R403.1. Verify the front porch enclosure meets this requirement. STRUCTURAL / FRAMING PLAN: 3. Indicate the roof framing over the proposed porch enclosure. Existing porch roof framing must be specified. Additional dead weight of ceiling covering and minimum insulation cavity will need to be verified for modification of existing structures.
